Iowa native and Brooklyn transplant Katlin
McKeown (meh-CUE-en) has over 10 years of
jewelry design experience.
A certified bench
jeweler, she received her BFA in Metalsmithing
at Iowa State University’s College of Design,
and continued her professional studies at the
lauded New Approach School For Jewelers
in Virginia.
In spring 2011, Kaitlin launched
her debut collection after leaving her position
as head jeweler at New York City-based
Ten Thousand Things. All of the pieces are
handmade to order in her Brooklyn studio and
she sources all of her materials locally.
